Hi Luca,
You're right, dialogue between libraries should be the main focus of this
exchange.
If it's possible to have a remote exchange, it will allow libraries that
aren't in Brazil to participate in the discussion.
I don't speak English... but I'll be there, and I think Jean-Marc, who
chairs the Bibliography Commission, will be able to attend and introduce
himself.
Currently on the BBS list are the Spanish, Belgian, Swiss, Italian, German,
Austrian, French libraries, and the University of South Florida library.
Contact with other libraries needs to be reestablished.
Another topic could be to present the work done, particularly to the UIS
Bureau. They participated in the funding and are very interested.
For Camille and Yohann, it's a great opportunity to showcase their work. It
could involve a presentation over a limited time period, and the tools
they've implemented.
For the FFspéléo, there's a relationship problem with Grottocenter for some
people. It's a small group, but they have responsibilities and they want
the FFSpéléo to lead the projects, be responsible, be valued, and receive
funding. It's quite complicated in the context of an international
collaboration. There's no librarian at the Federation, the secretary
resigned, the director was fired, the books are classified several years
late, and the BBS classification is only used in their software. I called
the FFspéléo's IT specialist to resolve the problem. He thinks it's great
that the FFSpéléo can retrieve the data and files and provide them. But
he's an employee, and it's the elected officials who decide.
Luca, would you be willing to join the team that leads the work of the UIS
Bibliography Commission? It is only a matter of being subscribed to the
bbs-mngt list and participating in the animation of the commission, in the
choices which are made like that of launching a work on the subjects linked
to the documents
Currently there are 3 of us with Ana and Jean Marc
